Salary Schedule

Under general direction, the purpose of this position is to perform complex clerical and data entry work assisting with various compliance transactions. Operates database systems to enter, change and/or maintain such information. Assists with compliance measures Department of Education-confirmed case notification, parent notification, employee misconduct notification, resignation or retirement during an investigation, disqualifying arrest cases, and SESIR offense cases. Prepares correspondence to be sent from Professional Standards to internal and external customers. Some analysis of solutions to situations is necessary to complete work. Performs related work as directed.

Examples Of Essential FunctionsResponds to internal and external customers in a timely, accurate, courteous and empathetic manner representing OCPS in a positive light.

Provides customer service that includes assisting employees and vendors regarding the professional standards investigation process, completing the appropriate paperwork and answering any questions.

Reads and evaluates criminal history documents. Ensures senior managers are aware of the criminal history and keeps the manager updated with relevant information. Requests additional information from employees if needed.

Prepares arrest case files in the case management database.

Prepares, proofs, and edits criminal history documents in the comprehensive case information system or other databases.

Monitors and retrieves all arrest files, court documents, and pre-trial diversion mandates.

Open, close, and organize case investigation files.

Documents and follow-up with supervisors/managers regarding discipline, statements, and other evidence.

Retrieves video evidence for case investigations.

Assists with compliance measures Department of Education-confirmed case notification, parent notification, employee misconduct notification, resignation or retirement during an investigation, disqualifying arrest cases, and SESIR offense cases.

Researches and prepares records requests.

Prepares and submits relief of duty and return to work documents.

Prepares and submits correspondence to include case closures and extensions of investigative deadlines.

Creates templates for use by managers for frequently used letters.

Provides guidance and advises employees in workgroup.

Meet data entry deadlines on an accurate and daily basis.

Works with users to solve day to day problems, and assist with the I-Sight case management, iCIMS, SAP, SESIR/Skyward, and Comprehensive Case Information Databases.

Assist Senior Managers with assigned duties as directed.

Performs less routine clerical duties as needed.

Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review, or modify data; utilizes SAP, word processing, spreadsheet, database and software programs.

Operates a variety of machinery, equipment, and tools associated with department activities, which may include a printer, copy or fax machine.

Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by OCPS. With the support of the district, attends training to ensure skill level in various technologies is at the level required to perform in current position.

Responsible for timely and accurate information they maintain as part of their job responsibilities.

Minimum Training And ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED; supplemented by up to three (3) years previous experience and/or training in an office environment, preferably some experience in criminal justice or law enforcement program, HR and school-based experience, or any equivalent combination of related experience, education, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential job functions.

PERFORMANCE APTITUDESData Utilization Requires the ability to categorize, prioritize, group, and/or investigate data and/or information. Includes performing subsequent actions in relation to these computational operations.

Human Interaction Requires the ability to apply principles of persuasion and/or influence.

Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization Requires the ability to operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions.

Verbal Aptitude Requires the ability to utilize a wide variety of reference and descriptive data and information.

Mathematical Aptitude Requires the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; ability to calculate decimals and percentages; may require ability to utilize principles of fractions and/or interpret graphs.

Functional Reasoning Requires ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form. Requires application of various established rules and procedures and decisions that may affect quality and accuracy of

results.

Situational Reasoning Requires the ability to exercise the judgment, decisiveness and creativity required in situations involving evaluation of information against measurable or verifiable criteria.

ADA COMPLIANCEPhysical Ability Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.

Sensory Requirements Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability.

Environmental Factors Tasks are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, violence, disease, or pathogenic substances.
