SPIFI : The South Pole Imaging Fabry-Perot Interferometer on AST/RO (2024)

Abstract

![CDATA[The South Pole Imaging Fabry-Perot Interferometer, SPIFI, is a direct detection imaging spectrometer for submillimeter astronomy in the telluric windows at 200 pm, 350 m, and 450 pm that are available at the South Pole (B1, B2). The main components of SPIFI are the cryogenic Fabry-Perot interferometers (FPI's) which can be tuned to any wavelength within the atmospheric windows and the detector array which provides a two dimensional field of view.]]
